Excursion Airbag Warning Lamp
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Ford Excursion diesel has an airbag warning lamp that remains constantly lit. The issue is suspected to be due to a faulty cable or connector within the system. A similar problem in a different vehicle was resolved by checking the crash sensors and wiring harness under the seats, which were common failure points. The solution involved addressing a corroded connector, which successfully resolved the warning light issue.

Under the seats, eh? I hadn't considered that. Were the symptoms identical to mine? Just the airbag light constantly on?

Yes, the airbag light was the only symptom. It turned out to be a corroded connector near one of the impact sensors. I would advise taking your vehicle to a reputable workshop to avoid triggering the airbags.

Thanks! Appreciate the insight. I took it to the shop and you nailed it, corroded connector. 95€ later and the light's gone. Cheers!

I encountered a similar issue with a 2012 BMW 5 series a few years back. The airbag light illuminated intermittently. Did you check the crash sensors or the wiring harness under the seats? Those were common failure points on the BMW.
