Excursion brake light error

Hey, my 2000 Ford Excursion diesel is acting up. Brake light is out, and the dash is showing an error. Error memory also has something stored. Any ideas?

I had similar brake light issues with my Excursion. Is it just the one light, or are all of them out? Any problems with cruise control? These Fords can be quirky.

Just the brake light. Cruise control seems fine. What was your issue?

Sounds like it might be the brake light switch itself, or a wiring issue. I had a similar error message too. It's probably best to have it checked out at the shop to be sure. Could be user error too, these can happen.
