Excursion Emergency Call System Error

My 2002 Ford Excursion with a diesel engine has an emergency call system malfunction. There's an error in memory, a message on the speedometer, and a warning light. Codes point to a cable or plug issue. Anyone seen this?

Interesting. I haven't seen that exact problem on an Excursion, but telematics units can cause weird issues. Is the error always there, or does it come and go? Does temperature or humidity affect it? Have you checked the control module fuses?

The error is always there, regardless of temperature or humidity. I haven't checked the control module fuses yet. Do you know which fuse is for the telematics unit or emergency call system on a 2002 Excursion?

Unfortunately, I don't have the specific fuse location for your vehicle. It sounds like you have a defective plug connection. I suggest visiting a local garage. They should be able to find the error.

Thanks for the input. I took it to a workshop, and it was a defective plug connection, like the codes said. The repair was 95€. The system works now.
