Excursion headlight and windshield washer problem

My 2000 Ford Excursion with a gasoline engine has a non-functioning headlight cleaning system, and the windshield washer system also doesn't work. I see no hose obstructions. Could a defective pump relay be the cause?

I have an Excursion as well, and I had a similar issue not too long ago. Did you check the cable connections to the pump itself? That's where I found my problem.

Could you elaborate on the specific cable connections you are referencing? Are you referring to the high-pressure pump for the Xenon system, or the primary windshield washer pump, or both?

I was referring to the main windshield washer pump. Given that both your headlight and windshield washers aren't working, it could be the same faulty cable connection. But if you're not comfortable tinkering with it, I'd suggest getting it checked out by a workshop. Could be a clog somewhere too. Good luck!

I appreciate the advice regarding the cable connections. A visit to a qualified workshop was indeed warranted. The repair cost amounted to 165€, due to a faulty cable connection of the pump. Thank you for your time and expertise.
