Excursion parking aid fault
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Ford Excursion is experiencing a parking aid fault, with the parking assistant not functioning and an error stored in the error memory. The sensors have been visually inspected and appear fine, suggesting the issue might be related to a faulty cable or plug connection. It is recommended to visit a workshop to have the connections checked and repaired if necessary.

Yes, it displays an error. What kind of connection problems did you experience? Where should I check?

For me, the ultrasonic sensors themselves were fine, but I couldn't get to the cables so I had to visit the workshop anyway. Turned out to be that cable or plug connection of the component was defective. That's what the mechanic said. The bill was 95€.

Thanks for the info! I'll take it to the workshop and have them check the cable. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but I can't fix it myself :(

Hey, I had something similar with my Excursion. Is it showing errors on the display? Could be a dodgy connection to one of the sensors.
