Expedition ABS Lateral Acceleration Sensor Fault

Thanks. It seems to happen more on the highway, especially when changing lanes at higher speeds. The steering angle sensor hasn't been checked, but I see how it could be related. Could a bad steering angle sensor cause these ABS failures and error codes?

It's possible a faulty steering angle sensor is contributing. The stability program uses a lot of sensor data. Think of it like an orchestra; if one instrument is off, the whole thing suffers. Given the symptoms, the control unit is likely defective, and you should get it checked. Replacing it will probably cost around 1000€.

I appreciate the insights and the analogy. I'll get it checked by a technician to diagnose the control unit. Thanks again.

I understand your concern about the ABS and lateral acceleration sensor. Have you noticed if it happens during specific driving, like cornering? Also, has the steering angle sensor been checked? Its data is used with the lateral acceleration input for stability control.
