Expedition electric steering column failure

I'm kinda freaking out. My 2022 Ford Expedition, gas engine, is giving me fits. The electric steering column adjustment is completely dead. I get an error in the system, and the column won't budge. I've checked the fuses, and they seem okay. Anyone else had this happen?

Yeah, I've seen that issue pop up before. When you say you checked the fuses, did you actually meter them, or just eyeball it? Sometimes they can look fine but still be toast. Also, have you tried wiggling the wires under the dash while trying to adjust the column? Could be a loose connection. Does it feel loose at all?

Meter them? Nah, just a visual. I'll try the meter thing tomorrow. As for wiggling wires, which ones specifically? There's a whole mess of them under there! I don't want to go yanking on the wrong bundle and make things worse.

Okay, definitely meter the fuses. Visual isn't enough these days. And yeah, fishing around blindly isn't ideal. However, given the stored error and lack of movement, a defective cable or plug connection sounds right. You're probably looking at a trip to a workshop, unfortunately. They'll be able to pinpoint the exact wiring fault.

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks for the input! Dropped it off this morning. Turns out it WAS a dodgy connector. 95€ later and she's good to go!
