Expedition knock sensor issue

I own a 2023 Ford Expedition with a gasoline engine. The check engine light is on, and I've observed higher fuel consumption and uneven idling. My mileage is at 128479 km. Could this be a knock sensor issue?

I had similar symptoms on my Ford Expedition. Has the car's performance been poor as well? It could be a defective cable or plug connection of the component.

Yes, the performance has been poor. Where should I check for the defective cable or plug connection?

I'm no expert, but with those symptoms, the knock sensor was the culprit in my case. I would recommend having a workshop check the ignition timing and the sensor itself.

Thank you for the advice. The workshop confirmed it was the knock sensor and the cable was indeed defective. Repair cost came to 95€. Now the car runs like new.
