Experience with active central fault memory lock for Citroen SpaceTourer electric motor, model year 2017

Hey guys, I have a question. On my Citroen SpaceTourer, electric motor, built in 2017 with a mileage of 124,003 KM, the central fault memory lock is active and saved. Have any of you ever had this and could tell me something about your experience with the mechanic and the problem? How did the whole thing turn out? I have a bad feeling about my last visit to the mechanic.

Hi buddy, I can understand why you're worried. I had the same thing two years ago with my 2015 Citroen Berlingo. It was exactly the same problem: the central fault memory lock was active and saved. I then went to the garage and the mechanics couldn't really say what was wrong at first. It turned out to be a sporadic error in the communication between the control units. However, it turned out that this was no small matter. In my case, the entire communication system between the control units had to be replaced. After they did that, everything ran smoothly again. So don't panic, your car is in the right hands. Hope this helps you!

Hey, thanks for the answer, really reassuring. Do you happen to remember how expensive the repair was back then? And were there any other problems afterwards or has everything been running smoothly with your Berlingo since then?

Hey, sure, I still remember that. The repair back then cost €955 to fix the sporadic errors in the communication between the control units. That was quite a lot of money. But since then, I haven't really had any more problems with it. As soon as this "central error memory lock active" story was fixed, the car ran like clockwork again. So it was worth every penny!

Wow, that's really good to know! Your case sounds very similar to mine and I'm actually very reassured that you didn't have any further problems afterwards. The 955 euros is a lot of money, but if it's worth it in the long run, it's probably worth it. I suppose I'll have to brace myself for a mechanic visit, hopefully it goes as smoothly as yours. Thanks for your help, buddy!
