Experience with frozen spray nozzles in Skoda Octavia 2016 in demand

Dear community, I have a problem with my Skoda Octavia (petrol, year of manufacture 2016, approx. 108,932 km driven). During the last few frosty days, my spray nozzles have frozen. I think it could be a malfunction of the spray nozzle heater. Has anyone had similar experiences? How did your garage solve the problem? I had a bad experience recently and would like to be better prepared this time. Thanks in advance!

Summary of the thread

A Skoda Octavia owner is experiencing frozen spray nozzles, likely due to a malfunctioning spray nozzle heater. A similar issue was resolved for another Skoda owner by replacing the nozzle heater, which restored functionality. The suggested solution is to have the spray nozzle heater checked and possibly replaced at a garage to ensure proper operation, especially in winter conditions.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey buddy, I can totally understand you, I had the same problem with my 2013 Skoda Superb. Last winter after a frosty night, my spray nozzles didn't want to work either. I then found out that there was a problem with the heating of the nozzles. Then had to have the nozzle heater replaced in the workshop. It's not a small part, but after the replacement everything worked perfectly again. Quite annoying, but ultimately important for safety, especially in winter. Hope that helps you a little.

Hey, thanks for your answer, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Do you happen to remember how much it cost you to replace the spray nozzle heater? And have you had any other problems since then or has everything been running smoothly since then? Thanks in advance!

Of course, after I went to the workshop, the problem with the spray nozzle heating disappeared. Flawless! The cost of repairing the faulty spray nozzle itself was €60, so definitely within budget. And to answer your second question: since then my Skoda Superb has been running like a kitten, no more problems. So it looks like the guys at the garage did a good job! I hope that helps you. Let me know how it turns out for you!

Hey, thanks for the helpful information! 60 € sounds quite reasonable and bearable. Good to hear that everything is running smoothly again. I'll take my car to the garage soon and have them take a look at it. Thanks again, and I'll let you know as soon as I have any news. Stay tuned!
