Hi, I have a 2019 Peugeot Expert diesel. The check engine light is on and there's an error stored. Engine runs rough sometimes. Diagnostics point to the water sensor. Could a faulty cable be the issue?

I had a similar issue with my 2016 Renault Trafic. Same engine type. Engine light, error code, rough running. It turned out to be a faulty connection to the sensor. Check the plug and wiring carefully.

I tried cleaning the contacts, but it didn't fix the problem permanently. Eventually, I went to a workshop to get it sorted. They replaced the connector.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop. It was indeed a defective plug connection. Repair cost 95€. All good now.
