Expert EGR Valve Issue

Experiencing power loss, check engine light, rough idle, and smoke with my 2010 Peugeot Expert diesel. Van's done 137000 km. Also higher fuel consumption, jerking, and a hissing sound on acceleration. Could this be the EGR valve?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Expert. Reduced power, check engine light, the whole shebang. Was it also rough at idle?

Yeah, rough idle is definitely part of it. Did replacing the EGR valve sort it out for you?

Could be a blocked EGR. I'd advise visiting a workshop to get the emissions tested and the valve checked. They'll be able to confirm for sure.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a shop, and you were right, it was the EGR valve. Cost me 355€ to get it replaced, but the van runs like new again.
