Expert gearbox control unit issue

My 2013 Peugeot Expert with a gasoline engine is giving me a headache. The gearbox is playing up. I'm having issues with the paddle shifters - they basically don't work. The gears are slipping and shifting really rough, and there's this awful grinding noise sometimes. The response from the paddles is slow. The computer threw it into emergency mode and the error points towards the transmission control unit. Anyone else had this?

I had similar gearbox issues on my Expert. Does it feel like the automatic gearbox isn't shifting properly, especially when accelerating? It could be a faulty transmission control module. What mileage are you at?

Yep, sounds about right. It's exactly when accelerating! It's like the gearbox is hesitating. Mileage is at 81573 km. What did you do to fix it?

That sounds very familiar. With that mileage and those symptoms, I'd bet it's the control unit. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. They'll be able to confirm if the control unit is defective and give you a quote for replacement.

Thanks a bunch! Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Affected control unit defective, just as suspected. Repair cost me around 1000€, but at least it's sorted. Cheers!
