Expert hands free microphone failure
Summary of the thread
The issue involves a 2016 Peugeot Expert where the hands-free microphone has stopped functioning, preventing calls and voice recognition. The error memory indicates a problem with the infotainment system. A similar case suggests the cause might be a defective infotainment system, requiring professional repair. The recommended solution is to have the system checked by a workshop, as it may not be easily fixable by the owner.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, exactly. Voice recognition is completely dead. Speech recognition doesn't work at all. And I've tried adjusting the volume while trying to use the microphone, but it makes no difference whatsoever. It's like the audio input from the microphone is just completely cut off. Could it be a wireless connection problem maybe?

Okay, that's almost exactly what happened to mine. Sounds like a defective infotainment system, unfortunately. I ended up having to take it to a workshop. The repair cost me around 815€. I'd suggest getting it checked out professionally; it's probably not something you can easily fix yourself.

Thanks so much for the information! I suspected it might be a bigger problem than I could handle. I'll take it to a workshop and get them to diagnose the infotainment system. Hopefully, it won't cost quite as much as yours did! At least I know what to expect now.

Hey, I've got a Peugeot Expert as well, and your issue sounds familiar. When you say hands-free microphone, do you mean voice recognition isn't working either? Like, if you try to use speech recognition to dial a number, nothing happens? Or even simpler, does the volume control affect the microphone at all?
