Expert NOx Sensor Failure

My 2003 Peugeot Expert, gasoline engine, is giving me grief. Check engine light popped on, and the error memory is showing a NOx sensor failure. Mileage is 46141 km. I've also noticed a slight exhaust leak. I suspect it might be a dodgy cable or plug connection on the sensor. Anyone else run into this?

NOx sensor on a 2003 Expert? Interesting. Are you sure it's the sensor itself and not something else in the exhaust system? You know, like when a lightbulb goes, you check the wiring first, not just assume the bulb is dead.

Good point. What else could trigger the NOx sensor error, assuming the wiring looks okay?

Well, I'm no expert, but if the wiring is fine, and the exhaust is leaking it is likely that the sensor is defective. With an OBD reader you could check the values. If they are out of range then you should head to a workshop.

Thanks for the input. Took it to a shop and they confirmed it. It ended up being a faulty NOx sensor connection as suspected. Cost me 95€ to get sorted. All good now.
