Expert tailgate hall sensor issue

Hi, I have a 2022 Peugeot Expert diesel with 83036 km. I'm getting an error stored and the tailgate doesn't open completely. Suspect the tailgate hall sensor. Anyone seen this?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Expert's power tailgate. Check the sensor wiring and plug connection first. That tailgate motor can be a pain. Bad connection is often the culprit. Is the CAN bus voltage normal or are you getting weird readings?

Cheers. Where exactly is the hall sensor located, and how do I check the CAN bus voltage?

No worries. The hall sensor is integrated into the tailgate motor itself, inside the tailgate. You will have to remove some trim to gain access to it. I strongly suggest checking the wiring looms and the plug connection before you start to rip the tailgate trim apart. A multimeter will be your friend for checking the voltages. Honestly, given the symptoms, a workshop visit may save you a heap of time and further damage.

Ok, thanks for the info. Took it to a workshop, and you were right. Defective cable/plug connection to the hall sensor. Cost 95€ to repair.
