Explorer Audio System Failure

Alright, so I've got a 2020 Ford Explorer hybrid and the audio system has totally crapped out on me. Nothing. No sound at all. The screen works, shows the radio stations and everything, but no audio comes out. I checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Plus, I plugged in my code reader, and it's throwing an error related to the audio unit. Anyone else run into this?

The symptoms you describe, particularly the presence of a stored error code related to the audio system in conjunction with the complete absence of sound output, strongly suggest a hardware malfunction. Have you noticed any anomalies with other dashboard controls or the display itself, such as flickering or unresponsiveness? It would also be beneficial to ascertain whether the error code provides further details. What specific error code is being reported?

No flickering or anything else weird with the display. Everything else seems to be working fine, just the audio is dead. As for the exact code, I'd have to go back and plug in the reader again, but I remember it was something vague about a general audio module failure. Is there anything else I can check myself before I have to take it in?

Given that the error code appears to indicate a general failure, and the other dashboard functionalities remain operational, the likelihood of a localized issue, such as faulty wiring, diminishes somewhat. While further diagnostic steps could be undertaken, involving the dismantling of the dashboard to access and examine the audio module's connections and power supply, such procedures are often best left to qualified technicians. The potential for unintended consequences when working with intricate electronic components is a considerable factor. Considering the available information, proceeding to a reputable workshop for comprehensive diagnostics is a prudent course of action.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop, and they confirmed it was the display unit causing the whole problem. Had to shell out 725€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!
