Explorer Steering Vibration

2013 Ford Explorer, gas engine, 237k km. Steering's gone wonky. Wheel vibrates, handling's spongy, and there's an error code. Feels like the power steering's failing; takes way more effort to turn. Suspect a dodgy cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this?

I had something similar with my Explorer. Vibrating steering wheel and all. Was it worse at certain speeds, or all the time?

Seems constant, not speed-related. Did yours throw any codes or just feel off?

Yes, there was an error stored in the error memory. Given that the issue appears to be constant, as you say, I recommend you to have it checked by a workshop.

Cheers. Turns out it was indeed a corroded connector on the steering rack. 95€ and she's good as new.
