Explorer windshield wipers non functional

Experiencing an issue with my 2018 Ford Explorer's gasoline engine. The windshield wipers are non-functional, and an error is stored. Suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Mileage is at 95649 km. Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Yep, I had something similar happen on my Explorer. Wiper just stopped working out of the blue. Did you check the wiring harness near the turn signal and rain sensor? That's where my problem was.

Could you elaborate on the specific location of the wiring harness you inspected? Was it visibly damaged, or did you require diagnostic tools to identify the fault?

Sure, it was near the wiper motor, behind the plastic trim. I didn't see any obvious damage at first, but after wiggling the wires, they started working again intermittently. Ended up taking it to a workshop, they confirmed a loose connection. Better get it checked out, could save you some hassle.

Thank you for the information. I appreciate the clarification. I took your advice and had the wiring checked. As suspected the cable or plug connection was defective. The repair cost was 95€. The issue is now resolved.
