Express turn signal fault

Hi, I've got a 2006 Chevrolet Express with a gasoline engine and I'm experiencing an issue with one of the turn signals. The van has 166337 km on it. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, plus an error message on the speedometer, basically indicating a fault in the lighting. I suspect it's probably a defective cable or plug connection somewhere in the circuit. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Summary of the thread

A 2006 Chevrolet Express is experiencing a turn signal fault, indicated by an error message on the speedometer and stored in the error memory. The issue is suspected to be a defective cable or plug connection within the circuit. After checking the bulb and accessible wiring without finding an obvious problem, it is suggested to seek professional diagnostics. The problem is confirmed to be a faulty connection, which is resolved by a mechanic.

Good day. Based on the symptoms you've described, the error message in conjunction with the fault in the lighting strongly suggests a problem with the electrical circuit of the turn signal. Have you attempted any visual inspection of the bulb and surrounding wire harness?

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I've checked the bulb itself and it seems fine, not visibly broken or anything. I've also had a look at the wiring I could easily access around the lamp housing, but didn't see anything immediately obvious like a broken wire. What part of the wire harness and plug connection do you mean precisely?

Given that you've inspected the bulb and accessible wiring without resolution, the error memory and speedometer notification suggests the issue persists beyond a simple bulb replacement. It's likely a deeper electrical issue that requires professional diagnostics. I recommend taking your Chevrolet Express to a certified workshop for a comprehensive evaluation.

Alright, thanks for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic and they confirmed it was a faulty connection. Total repair cost was 95€. Appreciate your help in pointing me in the right direction!
