Fabia Passenger Electric Seat Problem

My 2008 Skoda Fabia gasoline engine has an issue. The passenger electric seat won't adjust. VCDS shows an error. I suspect a discharged battery, but has anyone else had this? Mileage is 104924 km. Thoughts on the seat motor or other possibilities?

Electric seat trouble is a pain! First, check the seat switch. Wiggle it and see if anything happens. Could also be a loose seat harness connection under the passenger seat. Good luck!

Thanks. When you say seat harness connection, are you talking about the main seat wiring loom under the seat? How would I check the seat switch?

Yes, the main seat wiring under the seat. Look for anything obvious, like a loose connector. For the seat switch, sometimes they get gunked up. Try cleaning it gently. Electric seat issues can be tricky. If it's not simple, a workshop might be best.

Just wanted to let you know the workshop found a heavily discharged battery. A new battery fixed it. Error cleared, and the seat works now. Cost was 290€. Thanks for the help.
