Headlight cleaning system without function

Hey, yes, I can understand your concern. The repair on my 5 Series wasn't exactly cheap. The control unit was defective and cost me a whopping €1000. Quite a lot of money, I know. But since then the system has been running like clockwork again and I've had no further problems. After the workshop, the fault in the headlight cleaning system also went away. It's always annoying when something like this happens, but I have to admit that the guys in the workshop did a really good job. So, don't hang your head, buddy! It can only get better. And who knows, maybe you'll get away even cheaper than I did. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hey, good heavens, €1000 is really steep. But at least it's reassuring to hear that there were no more problems afterwards. I think I'll have to have it checked at the garage after all. Thank you for the information and the encouraging words. I hope I have a bit more luck and it won't be so expensive. Thanks again! Take care and I hope everything stays in the green for you!

Hey, yes, I know the problem. I once had a similar case with my 2013 BMW 5 Series. It wasn't a trivial fault. In my case, the entire headlight cleaning system had actually failed. After a long search in the workshop, they found out that the pump had to be replaced. And brace yourself, the hose was also clogged. All sorts of things had to be fixed. The visit to the workshop was nerve-wracking because it was unexpected and the repair took some time. But in the end it went well and the guys did a good job. So, check it out, maybe it's similar for you. It's definitely a serious issue that you shouldn't ignore. Good luck, colleague!
