Thank you for sharing your experience. This has never happened to me before and I hope that everything will be running smoothly again soon. How much did it actually cost you and has anything else given up the ghost since then or is everything running perfectly now? I'm looking forward to your feedback!

Hey, no problem! Well, with my Opel Astra, the whole thing with the repair of the control unit ended up costing €1000. That's quite a lot of money, but it's better than the car not running at all, isn't it? By the way, nothing has broken since then, everything is now running like clockwork. By the way, regarding your interior light: I had the same problem once, but since the visit to the mechanic, it's fine again. I hope it works out the same for you! All the best, see you soon!

Hey! 1000 €... that sounds really steep. But it's really better than not having a car at all. Good to hear that everything is working again for you now. I hope I'll have peace of mind after my visit to the mechanic. Thank you very much for your answers, that really helped me! I can't wait to see how it goes for me. Take care and I'll be in touch!

Hey, yes, I've experienced that. I had something similar with my 2011 Opel Astra, except that the air conditioning system failed, not the sat nav and audio. I also suspected that it had something to do with the control unit. In the end, it was the electronics that had given up the ghost. So it was definitely a more serious problem. The guys in the workshop removed the old control unit and fitted a new one. It took a while because they also had to touch some other parts, but in the end everything ran smoothly again. Hope it goes just as well for you!
