Summary of the thread

Hey, thanks for the tip! It's really annoying when things like this happen... hopefully my guess about the aerial is the right one after all, although unfortunately your case sounds like my problem too. Do you happen to remember how much you had to pay for the repair of the telecommunications control unit in your Peugeot? And have you still had problems with it since it was replaced or has everything gone smoothly since then?

Moin Moin, yes, you said it, such things are always super annoying... And I can fully understand your hope with the antenna. Unfortunately, the repair of my telecommunications control unit wasn't exactly a bargain, I had to fork out a whopping €765. But since then everything has been running like clockwork, no more problems with the sat nav or audio system. And another positive thing: after my visit to the workshop, the problem with the radio reception was also solved. It turned out that the aerial was actually faulty. Fortunately, the guys in the workshop ironed it out at the same time. All in all, I now know that when technical problems arise, it's better to go straight to a professional. So, cheer up and off to the garage! All the best for you and your Peugeot!

Hello, thank you very much for your detailed answer! Phew, €765 is a lot of money... I really hope that the whole telecommunications control unit isn't ruined yet. But well, better to have everything repaired at once than having to go back and forth all the time. Following your advice, I've now made an appointment at another workshop. Let's see how it goes and what comes out of it. Your positive experiences after the repair are encouraging! Thanks again and all the best for you and your Peugeot! Hopefully I'll be spared the audio-dramatic experience and the music selection will remain for the long journeys. Good luck!

Hi, I have a 2014 Peugeot 207 and have had a similar problem before. It turned out that the telecommunications control unit was defective. My indicator lights, sat nav and audio system were going crazy. It was no joke and no small matter. The workshop had to replace the entire device. So it could well be that this is what's wrong with you and not just the aerial. You always think of the simplest things first and hope that it's nothing serious. But I would say go to a specialist. All the best, buddy!
