Falcon Cruise Control Failure

I have a 2000 Ford Falcon with a gasoline engine, and the cruise control has suddenly stopped working. The cruise control dashboard light doesn't come on, and there's an error stored in the error memory. I've checked the fuse box, but all fuses seem to be fine. Any ideas?

I had something similar happen on my Falcon. Have you checked the pedal switch or the throttle position sensor? That could be the issue.

Which pedal switch are you referring to specifically, and how can I test the throttle position sensor?

It was the brake pedal switch on mine. Sorry, not sure how to test the sensor but I'd recommend taking it to a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. Turns out it was a defective cable at the cruise control component, which the workshop repaired for 95€. Appreciate the help!
