Falcon Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Ford Falcon owner experienced engine stalling and a check engine light, potentially due to a malfunctioning tank ventilation valve. A clogged purge valve hose was identified as a likely cause. The suggested solution was to inspect the hoses for cracks or disconnections, but professional diagnosis was recommended. Ultimately, replacing the clogged hose resolved the issue, restoring smooth engine performance.

Thanks. How do I check the hoses?

Without the right tools it's hard to diagnose yourself. If you want to check yourself, search for the purge valve location specific to your engine. See if any hoses are cracked or disconnected. But it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can use a scan tool to properly diagnose the issue and check the pressure sensor.

Thanks for the advice. It turned out to be a clogged ventilation valve hose, just like you said! Had to replace it – cost me 175€. Runs smoothly now.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Falcon. It might be the tank ventilation valve malfunctioning. When the purge valve hoses get clogged, that can cause the engine light to come on and lead to engine stalls.
