Falcon O2 sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Ford Falcon owner experienced a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, suspecting an O2 sensor issue. The problem was likely due to a faulty O2 sensor, possibly caused by a loose cable or corroded plug. The solution involved taking the car to a mechanic, who identified and fixed a defective cable connection, resolving the issue and normalizing fuel consumption.

Yep, that's what I'm leaning towards. Any chance you remember which O2 sensor it was? Or any specific details that might help me narrow it down? I have no idea about the exhaust sensor and don't want to replace the wrong one!

Can't recall which one exactly, sorry. But yeah, O2 sensor caused it. Save yourself the headache, take it to a workshop.

Thanks! It was indeed the O2 sensor! The mechanic found a defective cable connection. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Fuel consumption is back to normal and the check engine light is finally off!

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my Falcon. Check engine light and all.
