Falcon Overheating Electric Fan Issue

My 2015 Ford Falcon with a gasoline engine is overheating like crazy, especially in traffic. Coolant level is fine. The electric fan doesn't seem to be spinning as it should. Maybe a dodgy cable or plug connection to the fan motor? Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had similar overheating issues with my old Peugeot 308. Turned out to be a faulty fan relay. Does your Falcon's fan kick in at all, even for a short time?

Thanks for the quick reply! Good question. No, the fan doesn't seem to kick in at all now. Initially, it would start sometimes, but now nothing. Where is the fan relay usually located? I might have a look.

If it's not kicking in at all, could be more than just a relay. On my Peugeot, the relay was near the fuse box in the engine bay. But honestly, with it not working at all, and you suspecting wiring, I'd get it checked by a professional to be safe. Overheating can do serious damage.

I appreciate the advice. I'll book it in at the workshop. Better safe than sorry! They reckon it's a defective cable or plug connection to the fan, and quoted me 95€ for the repair. Thanks again!
