Falcon rough engine running
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Ford Falcon with low mileage is experiencing rough engine running, stalling at idle, and a check engine light, along with jerking during acceleration. Diagnostics suggest the issue may be related to the ignition coil, a bad cable, or a spark plug. A similar case was resolved by replacing the ignition coil and a faulty spark plug, and it is recommended to take the car to a workshop for inspection and repair.

The hesitation is bad, especially when accelerating. It feels like it's struggling, and I need way more throttle. Did your issue also point to the ignition coils, and what exactly did you experience?

Yep, sounds like the same thing. Eventually the car just died. Needed a tow. Turned out to be the ignition coil and a dodgy spark plug. If your diagnostics are already pointing that way you should just take it to a workshop. Will probably save you some headaches!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm taking it to a workshop for an inspection and ignition coil replacement. The estimated cost is about 95€. I'll post the outcome after the repairs.

Sounds rough! I had something similar happen with my Falcon. Check engine light flashing, the whole nine yards. Was the car hesitating badly too? Could barely get up hills...
