Falcon Transmission Problems

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2011 Ford Falcon with a gasoline engine. At 77264 kilometers, the transmission indicator and check engine light illuminate intermittently. The automatic transmission enters emergency mode, shifting atypically, slipping, with unclean gear changes and grinding noises. Error codes are stored. Diagnostics suggest a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered similar issues?

I recall a similar situation with my Falcon, though I can’t pinpoint the exact year. I experienced similar transmission issues – the lights, the emergency mode, the rough shifting. Initially, I suspected a major transmission overhaul. Have you inspected the radiator cooling fan and pressure sensor? Sometimes a faulty sensor can trigger a cascade of seemingly unrelated errors.

When you experienced this cascade, did you note specific codes or sensor readings that indicated the issue? I'm particularly interested in whether your pressure gauge provided any useful data prior to the malfunction, as well as any data regarding the oil cooler.

Unfortunately, I didn't note the specific codes. My diagnostic skills are far from comprehensive. However, given the similarities in symptoms, I strongly advise a thorough inspection of all cable and plug connections related to the transmission and radiator. It’s best to consult a trusted workshop to avoid further complications and potential damage.

I appreciate your insight and the advice. Upon closer inspection, the cable to the oil pressure sensor on the radiator was indeed defective. A replacement cable and plug, costing 95€, has rectified the issue entirely. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
