My 2016 Fiat 124 with a gasoline engine has a start-stop issue at 89912 km. The error is stored, the engine shuts off, and the warning light is on. I suspect a heavily discharged or defective battery. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my 124. The eco mode went nuts and the engine kept cutting out at lights. Was it doing that before the light came on?

Yes, it was cutting out at lights intermittently before the warning light appeared. Did it show any other symptoms?

Nope, just the engine cutting out. It could be the battery, or some other hybrid vehicle thing, but I'd take it to a workshop. Cost me around 290€ for repair, I think.
