Fiat 500 Electric Power Window Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Fiat 500 electric experienced power window failure after a vehicle battery replacement, with an error indicating unsuccessful window regulator initialization. The issue may be due to the window losing its 'memory' during the battery swap. A suggested solution is a window reset procedure, involving holding the window switch up and down for a few seconds after fully closing and opening the window. If this doesn't resolve the problem, recalibration with diagnostic tools at a workshop may be necessary.

Thanks for the tip! Could you explain the window reset procedure in more detail? Is it something I can do without taking the door panel apart?

Yep, you should be able to do it without any disassembly. Try holding the switch up for a few seconds after the window is fully closed, and the same downwards after it's fully open. If that doesn't work it might be an issue that requires recalibration with diagnostic tools, maybe time to visit a workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Unfortunately, it didn't work; looks like I'll be off to the workshop. Cost me 290€ to get it sorted.

Sounds like your window lost its 'memory' after the battery swap – like when your computer forgets the time. Did you try the window reset procedure? Sometimes holding the window switch up for a few seconds after it's fully closed does the trick.
