Fiat 500 sunroof error
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Fiat 500 is experiencing a "not initialized" error with the sunroof, causing the sunblind to get stuck and preventing the convertible top from functioning. The issue likely stems from recent coding changes. A suggested solution is to take the car to a workshop for recalibration, which resolved a similar problem for another owner.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I tried disconnecting the battery for a while, but no luck. What exactly happened with yours, and how did you fix it?

Yeah, disconnecting the battery didn't do anything for me either. Honestly, I ended up taking it to a workshop. They seemed to think it was some kind of calibration issue after the coding messed things up. They sorted it out pretty quickly.

Thanks for the info. I'll take it to a workshop and see if they can recalibrate it. It was the coding. Cost 75€ to fix.

Oh, that sounds familiar! I had a similar thing happen with my Fiat 500. The sunroof just went bonkers. Did you try any reset procedures or anything?
