Fiat Albea injector fault

My 2010 Fiat Albea, gasoline engine, has developed a fault at 109851 km. Symptoms include poor starting, increased fuel consumption, reduced power, uneven idling, and occasional stalling at idle. I suspect a defective injection nozzle, possibly due to dirt. Has anyone experienced similar issues?

Sounds like a plausible diagnosis. Dirty fuel injectors can definitely cause those symptoms. When they get clogged, the spray pattern is disrupted, leading to incomplete combustion. Have you tried any fuel injector cleaner additives? Also, have you checked the fuel pressure? Low pressure can mimic injector problems.

I haven't used any additives yet. Regarding fuel pressure, what would be a typical pressure reading for this engine, and where is the test port usually located?

The fuel pressure spec should be in your service manual, usually around 3-4 bar. As for the test port, it's generally on the fuel rail itself, a Schrader valve similar to a tire valve. However, given the symptoms and mileage, I'd lean towards the injectors themselves being the culprit. Might be time to consider professional cleaning or replacement, probably the latter. Going to a workshop will likely be needed.

Thanks for the insight. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be a defective injector. They replaced it, the car runs smoothly now. Total cost: 515€ Appreciate the help.
