Hey, appreciate your quick response! To answer your question, the odometer of my Fiat Argo is currently sitting at 125047 km. It might grant some insights that I mostly use my car for daily commuting and occasional long trips, but not much beyond that. I try my best to maintain it properly, last service was done recently. That's an interesting perspective on the battery issue. Paying 290 Euro for a new battery and labor doesn't look unreasonable if it indeed resolves the problem. Maybe I should also take it to the local workshop and let them have a look. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Hey, with that mileage and use described, your car battery might indeed be the culprit. Daily short-distance commutes can be tough on the car battery because the engine doesn't run long enough for the alternator to recharge the battery fully. Given your last service was recently done, other factors like the alternator and its belt, starter, etc., should've been inspected, and hopefully, those are in good shape. So, I stick to my initial assumption that it might be a worn-out battery causing the problems. Just like in my experience with the Punto, a professional opinion in such scenarios is always better. It's safer for both, us and our automobiles! Let us know how it goes after checking it in the workshop. Good luck!
Hey, your words make a lot of sense and it does align with what I've been suspecting. I do have quite a bit of short-distance commuting, which doesn't give much time for the alternator to fully charge the battery. Definitely think it's a good idea to get a professional's opinion and I'll make a plan to have it looked at pretty soon. Thanks again for your advice, it's really helped me out a lot. I'll keep you posted on the progress. Cheers!
Hey there! I had a pretty similar experience with my 2018 Fiat Punto, a sister car to your Argo. I actually don’t consider myself a car wizard, my car knowledge is basic, verging on some experience. When my Punto faced a similar issue, I decided to take it to my local workshop rather than dealing with it myself. Turned out it was indeed the battery that was acting up. The issue was related to the Battery voltage being too low than normal, which resulted in the mentioned problems. They had me pay around 290 Euro for a new battery and labor. Post-fitting, those weird issues disappeared! That being said, can you pass over details about your mileage, your driving habits, et cetera? It could help with a more accurate diagnosis or suggestion. Remember, better safe than sorry! Cheers.
