Fiat Argo engine issues
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Fiat Argo with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues such as the check engine light being on, stalling when idling, and a noticeable drop in power. These symptoms could be caused by a defective sensor or a more serious issue. A suggested solution is to inspect the fuel system, particularly the fuel volume regulator and high-pressure pump, as these components can affect engine performance.

Fuel volume regulator, huh? Where is that thing located, and what does it even do? I'm guessing it's not a cheap fix?

It controls the fuel pressure going to the engine. On my car, a defective high pressure pump was the culprit. I'd get it checked by a workshop if I were you, as the fuel system is quite sensitive.

Thanks for the heads-up! I took it to a shop, and you nailed it – they said the fuel volume regulator was indeed defective due to a faulty high pressure pump. Cost me 1510€ to replace! Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, I would have never guessed!

Sounds familiar! I have an Argo too, and I had similar symptoms a while back. Have you checked the fuel system? Could be the fuel volume regulator?
