Fiat Bravo automatic transmission issue
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Fiat Bravo with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues with the automatic transmission, indicated by the transmission and check engine lights being on. The transmission is stuck in emergency mode, not shifting correctly, and making grinding noises. An error related to the radiator oil pressure was identified, leading to the suspicion of a faulty cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by checking the pressure sensor and its connections, which ultimately led to the discovery of a defective cable connection that was repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the quick response! Where exactly is the pressure sensor located? And how can I check the connections properly?

On my Bravo, the pressure sensor was near the radiator, close to the transmission lines. Visually inspect the wiring for any damage, corrosion, or loose connections. If in doubt, especially with those grinding noises, it's best to get it checked by a workshop. Could be more serious than just a faulty connection.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turns out you were right, it was a defective cable connection. The final repair cost was 95€. I really appreciate your help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Fiat Bravo a while ago. Are you sure it's the radiator oil pressure? With those symptoms, it might also be the pressure sensor. Check the sensor and its connections first. Saves a lot of hassle.
