Fiat Bravo idle stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Fiat Bravo with a gasoline engine and 228,000 km is experiencing idle stalling and a check engine light indicating an issue with the idle air control (IAC) valve. The problem is more pronounced when the engine is cold. A similar issue was resolved by cleaning a dirty intake and replacing the IAC valve, which successfully stopped the stalling.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yeah, it seems worse when it's cold. What exactly was the issue with yours?

I had the same symptoms... error light, stalling at idle. It ended up being a really dirty intake, messing with the IAC valve. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a workshop. Better safe than sorry!

Thanks for the tip! Took it to the shop and you were spot on. They cleaned the intake and replaced the IAC valve. Cost me 425€, but the stalling is gone! Appreciate the help!

Hey! I had the same problem with my Bravo! Though, mine is a bit newer. Does it happen more when the engine is cold? I'm wondering if it's the same issue I had.
