Fiat Fullback Oxygen Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Fiat Fullback with a diesel engine is experiencing a check engine light issue related to the oxygen sensor, accompanied by increased fuel consumption. The problem is suspected to be a faulty connection to the O2 sensor. After taking the vehicle to a garage, a defective cable/plug connection was identified and replaced, resolving the issue and normalizing fuel consumption.

Interesting, was it obvious when you checked it, or did you need to get it diagnosed properly? I'm not the most mechanically minded...

For me, it wasn't immediately obvious, but after some poking around I found a corroded connector. Given you're not super confident, probably best to get it checked by a workshop. Save yourself some hassle.

Thanks for the advice. Turns out you were spot on! Took it to a local garage, and they found a defective cable/plug connection to the O2 sensor. They replaced it, and the light's gone, and fuel consumption is back to normal. Cost me 95€ all in.

I had a similar thing happen with my old Peugeot. Check engine light, rough running, the works. Turned out to be a faulty connection to the O2 sensor. Might be worth a look.
