Fiat Idea Air Suspension Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Fiat Idea with a gasoline engine experienced air suspension issues, including failure to lift, leaning to one side, and error messages on the speedometer. The problem was suspected to be caused by a bad cable or plug, possibly due to corrosion. After checking and cleaning the cable and plug connections, the issue was resolved, indicating that the problem was electrical rather than mechanical.

Can you tell me the specific fuse numbers for the air suspension on a 2012 Fiat Idea? And would a visual check be enough for air leaks, or do I need special equipment?

I'm not sure about the exact fuse number. Check the owner's manual. A visual check for leaks is probably enough, but those error messages are a worry. It sounds less like a simple leak and more like the compressor is failing electrically, especially with the stored error. I'd suggest a workshop visit. It might save you trouble.

I checked the cable and plug connections and found a corroded terminal. Cleaning and reconnecting fixed it! Cost me 95€ for materials. Thanks for the help.

That sounds frustrating! The leaning is a classic symptom, and the headlight thing confirms the ride height is off. Have you checked fuses related to the air suspension? Any hissing sounds that might point to air leaks?
