Fiat Novo Camshaft Sensor Issue

Hey, my 2019 Fiat Novo gasoline is acting up. 211723 km on the clock. It starts poorly, feels like reduced engine power, and I pulled an error code pointing to the camshaft sensor. I suspect a bad connection. Any ideas?

I had similar issues with my Novo. Check the sensor's wiring harness and plug first. Those Fiat connectors can be a bit dodgy. Could save you replacing the sensor itself unnecessarily.

Thanks! When you say 'similar issues', was it the exact same symptoms? Did the check engine light come on?

Yeah, pretty much identical. Rough starting, felt like it was down on power, and yep, check engine light was on. I'd still get it checked out by a workshop if fiddling with the connector doesn't solve it. Could be more to it.

Thanks for the advice. Ended up being a defective plug connection as suspected. 95€ repair at the workshop and everything's fine now.
