Fiat Novo Intermittent Starting
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Fiat Novo with a gasoline engine is experiencing intermittent starting issues, abrupt shutdowns while driving, and occasional rough running, despite normal dashboard lights. The initial suspicion was on the ignition coil and starter motor, with a query about whether a defective fuse could cause such symptoms. The problem was ultimately traced to a defective fuse linked to the ignition switch, which was replaced, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't considered the fuel pump relay. Where is that located, and how would I test it to see if it's faulty?

Honestly, I wouldn't know where it is on your Fiat, and testing it is beyond my skills. With those kinds of issues, you should probably take it to a workshop.

Appreciate the advice! As it turns out, it was a defective fuse linked to the ignition switch, causing all the chaos. Replaced it, and the total cost was only 52€. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar. I had similar probs with my old Opel Corsa, but it was the fuel pump relay acting up. Have you checked that?
