Good shout about the fuel filter! I changed it about 30,000 km ago. Can't really say anything about the quality of fuel; I try to get the good stuff. Could a blocked filter really cause all these issues at once, though? And yeah, the jerking seems worse when it's cold, but it still happens when it's warmed up, just not as intensely. Any thoughts?

Hmm, if it's still happening when warm, a blocked fuel filter is less likely, I guess. Honestly, with all those symptoms and the check engine light on, it probably is something more serious with the injectors like you suspected. Maybe time to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop?

Yeah, I reckon you're right. I was hoping to avoid it, but it's probably beyond my basic skills now. I took it to the local garage. Turns out you were spot on. It was, in fact, a defective injector. Had it replaced, and the bill came to 515€. Thanks a lot for the insights and the help!

Whoa, that sounds rough! Check engine light is never a good sign. I'm no expert, but could it be bad fuel too? Or a blocked fuel filter maybe? Is it always jerking, or just when the engine is cold? Just throwing some ideas out there, hoping it helps!
