Air con blowing warm air, fluctuating heating and cooling, yep, all that. Just had to take it down to my local garage and get that wiring harness swapped out. Yeap, bit of an issue, it was. The harness connects several key components of the vehicle, hence pretty vital. In my experience, misbehaviours can be traced back to the harness when seemingly unrelated parts start flipping out. As for the cost, it was around 155 Euro, a bit steep, but worth it in the end. After getting it fixed, the air con started behaving, and the heating and cooling became stable too. Interestingly, once the mechanic was done tinkering, the solar sensor in the interior resolved itself as well. Must have been one of those weird car things where a single glitch can cause several malfunctions, I guess. So, to answer your last concern, no, nothing else has popped up since the fix.
