Fiat Panda running rich

My 2006 Fiat Panda (gasoline engine) is running very rich. It's got only 27798 km on the clock. Symptoms are reduced engine power, check engine light, rough running, high fuel consumption, and jerking during acceleration. I suspect a faulty injector. Any ideas?

I had similar symptoms on my Panda, though I didn't check the mileage at the time. Did you check the catalytic converter?

Yes, the check engine light was on constantly. I'm not sure about the air-fuel ratio, but based on my experience, I'd recommend you get it checked in the workshop to be sure.

Thanks for your input. Turns out it was indeed a defective injection valve. Repair cost was 515€. Now the car runs smoothly again.
