Sounds like a faulty switch, then. No need to test, just go to the workshop and ask to replace it. Should solve the issue.

Thanks for the help! I checked the brake light switch and it was misaligned because I knocked it. I adjusted it, and the brake lights work now, and the error message is gone. No repair cost: 0€!
