Yes, exactly! Struggling for the right gear, and a shuddering feeling too! Especially when it's trying to lock up, I think. Was it definitely the torque converter for you then? What did you end up doing about it?

Yep, pretty sure it was the converter. Have it checked at a workshop. If it is the torque converter, you'll want a professional to handle it.

Thanks! I took it to a shop, and you were right. The automatic transmission converter was indeed defective. Cost me 2120€ to repair, but at least it's running smoothly again. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I have a Punto as well. Does it feel like it's struggling to find the right gear sometimes? Or maybe shuddering a little at certain speeds? I had similar symptoms, so I'm curious.
