Hey, I appreciate the advice! Seems like we're dealing with the same kind of gremlin here. My Seicento's clocked in about 33839 km, last serviced not too long ago. Probably after that, I noticed the battery acting up. I'm guessing the recent service could have accelerated the issue with the emergency system battery? Anyway, I'll definitely take it to a garage and let them check it out. Thanks again for your help!

No worries! It's hard to say if the recent service may have exacerbated your battery issue. Things with cars can be tricky, right? It's also possible that it was already on the way out and the service just brought it to your attention. But don't fret, it's not something too major and can easily be fixed. With the kilometers you've clocked, this kind of battery problem is not unusual, especially considering your emergency system battery is probably as old as the car itself. So, it's a good idea to take your Seicento to a garage and have them look into it. My bet's still on the emergency system battery though. Make sure to mention your problem symptoms like you did here, it would give them a clearer idea of what to check. Do update us about what they find out and how you proceed. Good luck!

Cheers! You're right, sometimes it's a bit of a puzzle with cars. Your explanation makes sense though. The battery's old so guess it's finally showing signs of its age. I'll certainly be thorough when I explain the situation to the guys at the garage. And yep, I'll drop in here and give an update once it's all sorted out. Thanks a ton for helping me out, here's hoping it's just the battery that's causing all this. Catch ya later!

Hey, I've got a 2007 Fiat Punto, quite similar to yours. I kinda know my way around cars, but wouldn't call myself an expert. I had the exact same issue last year - turned out the emergency battery was completely dead. I took it to my local garage, they did some tests and confirmed it. They replaced it and everything was right as rain after. Cost me about 110 Euro for the whole deal. If want, you could share further details about your vehicle just to be sure it's the same issue. Hope this helps!
