Hey there! Seems like I'm sailing in the same boat as you were. A defective handle assembly, huh? Ugh, just what I needed. Anyway, I appreciate your detailed response. If you don't mind me asking, could you maybe recall how much they charged you for the complete access control circuit fix? Also, since the repair, has any other related issue cropped up, or has it been smooth sailing? Cheers!

Hey! Well, the total damage to my wallet for getting that comfort access and door handle fixed was around 390€, not exactly a drop in the bucket, but hey, it had to be done. And to answer your second question - since the repair, things have been running like clockwork. The access control got its groove back, no more problems or any related issues. It's almost like my Fiat Punto figured 'Better shape up or ship out', ha! So, yeah, fingers crossed it your Stilo follows suit and your journey's a smooth one from here. Good luck!

Ah, I see! That does sound like an essential damage control without which, it just wouldn't be reliable to drive. A pretty hefty sum, but absolutely worth it if it's a long-term solution to the access control debacle. Your positive experience and the Punto's upgradation sure gives me a bit of hope. And haha, absolutely hoping my Stilo decides to 'shape up' as well! Thanks for patiently responding and sharing your experience. It really helped. Off to a garage tomorrow. Fingers crossed! Wish me luck! Cheers!

Hey, happened to have something similar with my 2010 Fiat Punto not long ago. My door handle was dodgy, too. Didn't respond as it used to, kinda messed up the comfort access. Turned out, the handle component was defective. The electric circuit within was shot, causing the key fob and the unlocking system to go bonkers. Made the whole thing pretty unpredictable, like your Stilo. Got it checked at my regular garage. They had to replace the entire handle assembly to fix the issue. Didn't end up being a minor fix as the problem sat within the car's access control circuit, crucial for the car to function properly. Overall, not fun at all, but once fixed, everything went back to running smooth. So, looks like you might be heading for a similar fix. Best of luck!
