Fiat Talento Exhaust Sensor Issue

My 2022 Fiat Talento, gasoline engine, is throwing a fit. Speedometer's screaming with a warning light, and it's puffing out smoke like a chimney when I try to accelerate. Mileage is at 157083 km. Suspect it might be the exhaust back pressure sensor, any ideas?

Sounds like the same issue. I'd take it to a workshop to confirm. I had smoke and a drop in power; the sensor was faulty. They replaced it, and the problem went away.

That's what I needed to hear. Workshop it is! Turns out you were spot on, the exhaust back pressure sensor was defective. Replaced it, cost me 245€ and now it runs like new!
